Our practice and our values.
Since the law firm of Malan Lourens Viljoen Inc was established in 1991, our legal practice has grown from a single attorney and 3 employees to a highly skilled personnel complement divided into different legal departments, including conveyancing, wills and estates, commercial, litigation and family law, each headed by a director and with expert support staff to ensure professional and efficient legal service in all of these fields. We pride ourselves in being one of the largest and most progressive and diverse law firms in the Helderberg region, which is rated as one of the fastest growing residential and commercial nodes in the Western Cape. Our offices are situated in Somerset West, approximately 30 kilometres from Cape Town Airport and easily accessible.

Our history
How the firm came to be.
Our legal practice was founded by Daantjie Malan in January 1991, and was then known as Daantjie Malan Attorneys. Daantjie was joined by Thys Lourens in March 1996, who had until then practised for his own account.
Leon Viljoen joined the company in February 1999 and became a director in April 2001. After a few name changes, the company is known today as Malan Lourens Viljoen Inc.
Our company operates entirely independently and consequently we have no vested interest in any estate agency, mortgage originator or developer.
The directors are involved in the local community, school- and church councils, charitable organisations and upliftment programs.
